October 2008 will enter the history books with something that did not happen, and something that did. First, despite the expectations of many, the world did not end. And second, despite the expectations of some, the BCC Annual Ball 2008 was a great success. A gallery of photos from the Ball can be seen on "BCC Photo Gallery" by clicking HERE. You can also read one media account of the evening in Bulgarian newspaper "Telegraf" in "In the Media" section. While we would not have chosen the page's headlines ourselves, we are particularly pleased that Bulgarian star singer Beloslava thought so highly of our Club and the Ball. To see the page, please click HERE. We wish to thank all those members and friends who shared in the experience and contributed to the great atmosphere of the evening. |

The Quantum of Status: BCC Members' Thanksgiving Party |
|
HURRY, THE TICKET SALE CLOSES ON 18 Nov!
To register for the party, please click HERE and follow the instructions.
We are glad to announce the details of our Members' Thanksgiving Party! The BCC uses again its "Licence to Thrill" with an evening on 20 November, from 20.00h till late, in the private super-exclusive Raffles Club, 287 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW3 5EW. It will feature a private room for the BCC with canapes, welcome drink, networking, and wild dancing on Raffles' amazing underfloor-lit dance floor! And the cocktails will of course be shaken, not stirred! Dress code is in line with the theme, and guests are encouraged to dress like Bond Girls, Bond Baddies, Moneypennies, "M", and even 007 himself.
At a time of increasing reports about the end of Casino Capitalism, the BCC party will demonstrate that it is alive and well. To show continuity with the previous Bond movie, there will be a croupier for the evening, to help those feeling lucky to wager a few bob, or more. As it is said, the gambling known as business has much in common with the business known as gambling! And having in mind that gambling is considered these days less risky than most financial market activities, maybe many guests will grab the opportunity. As the great Gambler said:
